Is this right for you?

Investor-Ready Financials for SaaS: Is This Right for You?

✓ This is right for you if...

✓You are raising in the next 3–6 months and need financials that hold up to investor scrutiny
✓You have real revenue history and financial records to work from
✓Your books are reasonably clean, reconciled, and current
✓You know your target raise amount and planned use of funds
✓You want a fixed-fee project with a clear timeline and defined deliverables

✕ This is not right for you if...

✕You need historical bookkeeping cleanup or reconciliation — that must happen before this project begins
✕You need tax preparation, tax filing, securities advice, or legal advice
✕Your business model, fundraising strategy, or scope is likely to change significantly during the project
✕You need a full investor pitch deck designed and written — that is outside this scope
✕You are pre-revenue with no financial history to analyze

Not sure if you are ready? Book a free 15-minute session and we will find out together.

How it works

Six steps. Fifteen business days.

A structured, async process with clear stages — so you know exactly where things stand at every point.

1

Discovery Call

A free 15-minute session to confirm we are a fit, understand your fundraising situation and timeline, and scope the work. No payment is required until after this call.

Free · 15 minutes · No obligation

2

Document Intake

After the discovery call, I send you a customized document checklist based on your business. You gather and send the documents. Most clients provide profit and loss statements, balance sheets, bank statements, AR and AP reports, MRR or ARR data, customer and subscription information, cap table, planned raise amount, intended use of funds, and any existing investor materials.

3

Review and Analysis

I review your documents, analyze your financial performance, and develop the projections and supporting materials. I work independently — no calls or check-ins needed from you during this stage.

4

Initial Delivery

I deliver the initial financial package within 15 business days of receiving your complete documents. All files are yours to keep and share with investors or advisors.

5

Revision Round 1

You review the initial delivery and submit one organized list of requested changes. I incorporate corrections, clarifications, and reasonable adjustments within the original scope.

Submit feedback as one consolidated list

6

Revision Round 2 and Final Delivery

A second round of revisions for any remaining corrections or refinements. After this round, the final materials are delivered. The project is then complete.

Revision rounds

What the two revision rounds include — and what they do not.

Each revision round should be submitted as one organized list of requested changes. The purpose is to refine and correct the agreed-upon work — not to create a new project.

✓ Revisions include...

✓Correcting factual or numerical errors
✓Clarifying explanations or financial assumptions
✓Updating information within the original project scope
✓Adjusting reasonable forecast assumptions
✓Correcting labels, descriptions, or formatting
✓Improving the readability or presentation of the financial materials

✕ Revisions do not include...

✕Adding a new business model or revenue stream not previously disclosed
✕Rebuilding the model around a substantially different fundraising strategy
✕Creating additional forecasts, scenarios, or deliverables outside the original agreement
✕Cleaning up or correcting the company's bookkeeping
✕Rewriting or redesigning a full investor pitch deck
✕Providing legal, tax, securities, or investment advice

Major changes that expand or alter the original scope may require a separate fee and timeline. If you are unsure whether a request falls within scope, ask before submitting your revision list.

Questions about Fundraising Financial Prep.

Specific answers for this service.

What documents do I need to provide?

+
Most clients provide profit and loss statements, a current balance sheet, cash flow statements if available, bank and credit-card statements, accounts receivable and payable aging reports, existing budgets or forecasts, payroll and contractor costs, current loan or debt information, capitalization table if available, historical revenue data covering 12 to 24 months, MRR or ARR reports, customer and subscription data including churn and renewals, pricing plans and billing cycles, sales pipeline information, planned raise amount, intended use of funds, expected milestones, and any existing pitch deck or investor materials. Not every document applies to every business. After our discovery call, I will send you a customized checklist showing exactly what is needed for your project.

Does this service guarantee a successful raise?

+
No. This service provides financial preparation and decision-support materials. It cannot guarantee investor interest, a successful raise, or a specific fundraising outcome. The fee is not refundable because a company does not receive funding, an investor declines the opportunity, or the fundraising process takes longer than expected. What I can deliver is financials that are accurate, organized, and built to hold up to the questions investors will actually ask.

What if my books are not ready?

+
Your bookkeeping must be reasonably clean, current, and reconciled before this project begins. Fundraising Financial Prep does not include historical bookkeeping cleanup, tax preparation, or the correction of materially inaccurate accounting records. If cleanup is needed, I recommend starting with a bookkeeper before engaging this service. If you are unsure whether your books are ready, the free 15-minute session is a good place to find out.

What is the refund policy?

+
Payments are refundable before project work begins. Once I have started reviewing your documents, analyzing your financial information, developing projections, or preparing any of the agreed-upon deliverables, the project fee becomes nonrefundable. If you need to cancel, contact me as soon as possible and I will confirm whether work has begun and whether a refund is available. The fee is not refundable based on fundraising outcomes.

What if I need the Cash Flow Clarity Audit first?

+
If you are unsure whether your cash position is strong enough to support a raise, starting with the Cash Flow Clarity Audit is a good idea. The Audit gives you a clear 13-week cash picture before you commit to the fundraising prep process. Many founders find it useful to understand their current cash reality before preparing materials for investors.
